1st Call of Interreg Europe is open!

Interreg Europe

The first call of Interreg Europe is a fact, a call for interregional cooperation projects.

These projects gather policy-relevant organisations from different countries in Europe working together on a common regional development issue. The programme is structured around one single cross-cutting priority, the Interreg-specific objective ‘a better cooperation governance’. This means that beneficiaries can cooperate on any topics of shared relevance in line with their regional needs, as long as this falls within the scope of cohesion policy.

In October 2021, the BoD of the European Investment Bank approved the cohesion orientation paper that sets out the new framework for the period 2021-2027. The representatives of all EU Member States made more funding available for public and private sector projects in cohesion regions — those with a GDP per capita below the EU average.

15th November 2021 is the date of launch of the 1st Call for Transnational Project Proposals of the New Interreg Central Europe!

The first call of the new programme is directed at public and private organisations that want to work together beyond borders. Funding will support them to cooperate on solutions for common challenges of central European regions and cities that know no borders.
